3RD THROUGH 5TH GRADERS’ CAMP,JULY 8-12

THEME: ROAD TRIP: The idea of a road trip can strike dread into the hearts of most preteens.Long, boring hours squeezed between siblings. Leg cramps from a hugecooler tucked under your feet. “Holding it” longer than you thought humanlypossible. Our lives are very much a road trip.

At Angeles Crest this summer,we will travel alongside the story of a water walker, one of the first followersof Jesus – a fisherman, a truth speaker, a passionate believer, and an occasional doubter. Together, we will tap into the amazing insights of his “road trip” and how ours can be all the better.

She is excited to take your students and leaders on a “Road Trip” through the amazing story of Peter.

REFUGE (YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY), MONDAYS, 7 PM, GOLD COAST’S YOUTH ROOM:Are you a young adult- 18 to 28ish years old- and want more than just church on Sunday mornings? Now you can get together with other young adults on Monday nights! This time usually consists of fellowship, worship, prayer, Bible study and group discussions. The weekly topic varies (presently, it’s the New Testament book of John), but the group likes to go deep in scripture and work through relevant issues that young adults are facing. Things are planned outside of the usual Monday evening gatherings (movie nights, brunches, etc.) on a regular basis so you can hang out and enjoy each other’s company. Questions? Contact Jeff Atchison at 805-751-3379 or jeff@calvaryoxnard.org. or check out https://www.calvaryoxnard.org/youngadults.

TOMORROW IS MOTHER’S DAY!  Thanks to all the moms of Gold Coast for all you do!  We’ve got a gift for every mother in attendance tomorrow and there’s also a free raffle for moms at both services for coffee gift cards.

Tomorrow, in our current message series through the book of Hebrews, we’re in Hebrews 4 and it’s all about REST (something I’m sure all hard-working moms could use more of!) Fatigue is becoming increasingly prevalent in our society. It poses serious risks to our health, to our safety on the road, in our work, not to mention to our spiritual lives. Take a break tomorrow, come worship and learn about the real rest we all need and where it’s found.

Love you guys,

Scott
