MEN’S RETREAT AT ANGELES CREST, APRIL 27-29: Come hang out with a bunch of like-minded guys for an awesome weekend of adventure! Frankly, women retreat more often. They love to create ‘foo foo’ experiences that pamper, cater, sing forever and connect with other women. Nothing wrong with it. But when men get together, they typically are happy with 3 simple things: Good food and lots of it; hang time with cool, fun stuff to do; and gatherings that are not weird but personally helpful.
These three things are exactly what you’ll find at the Angeles Crest Men’s Retreat. Sure- we’ll have excellent worship and teaching times, (as a matter of fact) this year the theme of “The Heart of a Man”promises to be both inspiring and practical. Come retreat to the mountains and discover the power of rest, play, Godly challenges and great food.
Three easy ways to register: 1. Call Vicky Stevens at 714-870-9190; 2. Email her at [email protected]; 3. Register online. The cost is $149 per person. Questions? Contact George at 805.302.8475, [email protected] or contact Darrell at [email protected] or 805.660.3061.

THIS SUNDAY we do actually wrap up our Getting to Know the Unknown Godmessage series. We were planning to finish the series last Sunday but if you were with us on Sunday, you know it was decided to extend the series by a week.
A.W. Tozer wrote in The Knowledge of the Holy: “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us… The most crucial fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like.”
We’re going to look at what arguably could be considered God’s three most important attributes. It’s not an exaggeration to say that thinking rightly when it comes to God is of utmost importance. Having an accurate understanding of and knowing the true God is the most thrilling adventure we could ever experience! You will be encouraged. This would be a great Sunday to invite a friend to join you.
Love and looking forward to seeing you guys,
Scott
